MH304 Bachelor of Electronic Engineering is accredited by Engineers Ireland and is recognised internationally. The five year Master of Engineering in Electronic Engineering at Maynooth University is also accredited by Engineers Ireland and meets the educational standard required to become a chartered engineer. AVAILABLE PLACES 2023 - ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING MATHS ENTRY EXAM 2023 - 5th September 2023 In MH304 Electronic Engineering, students take the same modules in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. In 4th year, students specialise in one of the following three options:
Students who achieve a 2.2 grade (50%) minimum in 3rd year may choose the MEng stream There is a transfer pathway from 1st year MH201 Science to 2nd year MH304 Engineering for students who have taken Engineering Science, Computer Science, Mathematics and one other subject.

This course requires 2 additional subjects Mature students - Information: Mature applicants are assessed separately to school-leavers. Mature applicants are 23 years or older by 1st January in the year of entry to the University. For part-time/flexible degrees the mature age is 21. Mature applicants who have a disability If you have a disability or specific learning difficulty (e.g. dyslexia), and require examination support for any written tests that may be required, please submit supporting documentation by 15 March 2023 to the Access Office. Leaving Certificate Applicants: 2H5 & 4O6/H7, Irish, English & a Science subject (i.e. Agricultural Science, Applied Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Physics with Chemistry or Technology) & *H4 Mathematics. *Applicants who do not achieve the H4 in their Leaving Certificate Mathematics exam can sit the Engineering Mathematics Examination taking place on September 5th 2023. The exam is based on Paper 1 of the Leaving Certificate curriculum. Applicants must achieve at least H4 grade in this exam, along with the other entry requirements, in order to be accepted on to our Electronic Engineering degree (MH304). Applicants under 23 years of age need to have attained at least 350 points in their Leaving Certificate or equivalent plus basic entry requirements. Students take the same modules in first, second and third year. In fourth year, students specialise in one of the following three options:
A transfer pathway exists from first year MH201 BSc Science to second year MH304 Engineering for students who have taken Engineering Science, Computer Science, Mathematics and one other subject. Students must attain 50% in the first sitting of first year examinations. There is no limit on places.
OR Students with a minimum of 2:2 grade (50%) in third year may complete a further 2 years to graduate with an ME in Electronic Engineering. Duration: 4 years
