This module focuses particularly on studying Contemporary Spanish Literature in context. Its main emphasis is on the impact that cultural processes have in the creation of Spanish identities. It aims to build upon and develop key concepts raised within the level-two module “Introduction to Hispanic Literature” but can also be taken independently. Its objectives are to apply fundamental teaching and learning principles in order to practice course design and classroom teaching.
**This 5-ECTS credit module may be used as part of the 15-ECTS credits in the study of literature (including drama, poetry, fiction, film studies etc.) required for accreditation by the Teaching Council of Ireland. All applications submitted for Teaching Council accreditation are, however, subject to the Teaching Council’s internal evaluation processes.
