	This module examines the influence of the environment on human experiences, behaviour and well-being and explores the factors influencing environmental behaviour, and ways to encourage pro-environmental behaviour. The genesis of methodologies within the field historically and their prominence today is evaluated. � History and the emergence of environmental psychology. � Environmental influences on human behaviour and well-being � Factors influencing environmental behaviour. � Encouraging pro-environmental behaviour, citizen science and conservation action.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Understand the historical antecedents that led to the development of this field of research. Critically evaluate the principal theories and concepts related to environmental psychology. Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of the methodologies used of environmental psychology. Apply key methodological approaches from environmental psychology in an ethical way.
