This course aims at introducing students to the fundamental concepts, arguments, and methods of philosophy, while emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and inclusive perspectives. Through a variety of readings, discussions, and assignments, students will explore major themes in philosophy such as ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of religion, philosophy of technology, and logic and critical thinking, with an emphasis on developing the skills necessary to engage in rigorous and open-minded philosophical inquiry.
