• - understand the causes, effects and consequences of the Great Famine
• - identify primary sources relevant to the study of the Great Famine;
• - discuss the historiography of the Great Famine

• Continuous Assessment detail(s): One major assignment and one or more smaller assignments, submitted during the semester.

• Pass standard: 40%

• Are supplemental/resit registrations permitted? Yes
• For autumn resit, the major assignment only may be submitted. There will be no re-submission of other continuous assessment components. Marks received during the semester in respect of in-class tests, presentations, minor assignments etc., will be carried over. Essays/projects for autumn resit must be submitted by 1 August and may be subject to a cap.
