On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:

Read and extract information from business-related texts, charts and graphs, and summarise that information in oral and written form.

Describe working environments, relationships with colleagues, employee and company profiles, business graphics, and business performance using appropriate vocabulary and structures.

Communicate effectively with a variety of interlocutors, e.g. colleagues, customers, and executives, and demonstrate appropriate language skills for negotiation and mediation with these interlocutors in written and oral form.

Produce some business-related texts, such as formal and informal emails and written reports.

Work effectively as part of a team to deliver a presentation in a coherent and meaningful manner.

Demonstrate intercultural awareness and sociolinguistic competencies, as they relate to the business world.

Apply appropriate vocabulary and grammar rules to complete quizzes and oral and written assignments, using relevant ITC, when necessary.
