The successor to GC227, this module continues its presentation of the grammar, vocabulary, readings and cultural selections from the widely-used Athenaze textbook. The second of a 4-semester sequence which covers all the essentials necessary for higher-level study of Greek literature, this module will see students completing the bulk of Book 1, which in addition to adapted readings and exercises includes unadapted selections of Greek proverbs, lyric poets, and the New Testament, as well as thematic material on Greek religion, science, medicine, trade, travel, and the rise of Athens.
