• Interpret results in the context of the impact on the particular field.
• Evaluate results for potential publication.
• Formulate a research question/hypothesis for the publication.
• Concisely present and critically discuss research highlights that can prove/disprove the hypotheses/question
• Draw conclusions on the work and articulate the significance of the research in the wider context
• Identify a journal, chapter, edited book or conference proceedings, with appropriate scope for publication
• Format a manuscript to meet formatting standard as set out be the publisher.

• Continuous Assessment detail(s): The student must submit a piece of research to a peer-reviewed journal which must be accepted. The student must submit a reflective journal which tracks the development of their full paper (approximately 1000 words). The student’s supervisor/research coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the student has achieved the learning outcomes for the module. The supervisor/research coordinator will gather and retain written evidence that the student has achieved the module’s learning outcomes. The supervisor or research coordinator (as appropriate) confirms the results on the Annual Progression Review Form for note by the Departmental Research Student Progress Committee The research coordinator or administrator submits results for FM modules for all research students in their department to Graduate Studies by the end of May. Each student may only receive credit for this module once. If the module is incomplete, the student will receive a grade of “did not complete”.
