Module ADVANCED AUTOMATION TEAM PROJECT

Module code: EE652
Credits: 10
Semester: 2
Department: ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
International: No
Overview Overview

This Challenge based module will immerse you in a life like scenario; a group of engineers developing a large scale robotic or embedded AI system. The problem may be set by the team or inspired by industry partners.

For the project you will typically be working in a group of four to six students. You'll be assigned a target system to design, be given a budget, and then prepare the design presentation that your group will follow. Working together, you'll develop detailed system specifications and establish initial prototypes.

As a group you will design, construct, implement and evaluate the system. You'll gain practical experience of project management and team skills. The system you design will include both software (such as individual and collective robotic control, and low-level programming) and hardware (such as hardware integration or customisation). The project will culminate in the design and realisation of a system that will meet various test scenarios.
