This module will explore occupation profiles, the role of the professional and the core competencies required to work in early years’ settings. With an emphasis on developing their interaction skills and their relationships with children, students will use a range of methodologies to support the implementation of the curriculum and manage routines in everyday practice. Incorporating previous learning on the course and their experience in the sector, students will work under the guidance of a placement supervisor to develop their ability to provide for the care and education of babies, toddlers and young children (birth- 6 years).
