This module is designed to support students as they prepare to undertake their independent research projects in years 3 and 4. Students will identify their research topics and problems, contextualise them within relevant educational research traditions and develop a coherent framework in which to explore them. Students will work individually, in small groups, and with a supervisor in order to progress their thinking and presentations will be used to develop their capacity to articulate their research topic. Research design, including planning for implementation, will also form part of the module.
