• Write an economic problem in a logically consistent, concise and mathematical way
• Use the tools of mathematics to solve economic problems
• Assess the usefulness and limitations of the quantitative approach to economics

• 24 lecture hours, 20 assignment hours, 50 private study hours

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Total Marks 100%. One-and-a-half-hour written examination at the end of Semester 1. Up to 20% of total marks may be awarded for Continuous Assessment.

• Pass standard: 40%

• Are supplemental/resit registrations permitted? Yes
• One-and-a-half-hour written examination. Any continuous assessment mark will be carried forward.
• University scheduled written examination (Autumn): 90 minutes, On-campus
