This is a project module where students will develop analytical and empirical skills as well as written and oral communication skills. This module allows students to apply their understanding of economic principles, economic theory, quantitative methods and data analysis to real-life economic issues and policies. Areas covered might look at the effects of rent control on housing, the effects of minimum wages on employment, income inequality, economic perspectives on regulation of illicit drugs and crime. Students will make use of economic arguments and increase their familiarity with relevant software.
