The relationship between Mexico and the United States has long been a matter of intense debate and even conflict. This module examines the history and culture of the Spanish-speaking diaspora in the United States through an analysis of poetry, literature, visual art and cinema. We will consider aspects of this history and culture including migration, bilingualism and activism.
**This 5-ECTS credit module may be used as part of the 15-ECTS credits in the study of literature (including drama, poetry, fiction, film studies etc.) required for accreditation by the Teaching Council of Ireland.
