	Overview
	This module helps students to learn the essential skills of legal research and writing. It focuses on how to plan an approach to legal essays and problem questions, how to read and understand cases and legal literature, and how to write effectively about law. Students will hear the skills and techniques explained in lectures, and practice them in written work. Students will additionally be shown how to find legal sources and cite those sources.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Identify key legal issues in essay and problem question, and plan an effective response to these issues. Read case law and literature effectively and efficiently. Write clearly, precisely, and succinctly about legal issues. Find legal sources efficiently and cite them according to the OSCOLA Ireland citation convention.
