This is a two-year full-time programme designed for honours graduates who may not have taken major accounting specialisms in their undergraduate studies, but who wish to pursue a professional accounting qualification. First year students are required to achieve an average of at least 60% in their first year modules to remain on the course. One of the principal objectives of the programme is that graduates will, on successful completion of the programme, have entitlement to CAP1 and CAP2 exemptions and equivalent exemptions from other professional accountancy bodies.
The Accounting Group were delighted with their success at the Irish Accountancy Awards 2017 being declared winners of the Excellence in Education and Training category. The award recognises excellence in the delivery and development of knowledge and skills in the Accountancy Profession.

This is a two-year programme, designed to provide graduates with in-depth study of a range of areas within the field of Classics, and with the skills necessary for carrying out research in one or more classical disciplines. The study of ancient Greek or Latin is compulsory in the first year, and may be continued in the second; prior knowledge of the language is not required.

CREOLE is an innovative two-year Anthropology degree (120 ECTS), funded under the EU SOCRATES Programme, in which students are required to spend two of the four semesters at one or more European partner institutions:
This unique international Master’s degree allows the opportunity to study and analyse multiple complex societies, and to deal with cultural diversity, transnationalism, visual and popular culture. The MA in Dramatherapy is a two-year full-time course offered within the School of English, Media and Theatre Studies at NUI Maynooth, Co Kildare, Ireland. The programme offers a training to become a fully qualified Dramatherapist. At the core of Dramatherapy lies the experience of personal transformation through group and/or individual work. The Dramatherapy process uses drama activities with the intention of facilitating change. On this course students will study, explore, experience and develop the necessary theoretical and clinical framework for planning, facilitating and evaluating this therapeutic process. Students who complete all aspects of the MA training programme will be qualified to work as Dramatherapists with a variety of client groups within for example clinical, social and educational settings. Students are required to undergo personal therapy (group and individual) outside of the teaching hours throughout the training.

The 2-year MA Economics programme is structured to provide an international quality education in Economics and Econometrics for students with an interest in, and aptitude for, Economics but no necessary prior background. The programme is designed to help the student become a problem solver and therefore enhance their flexibility in the job market. It is a stimulating and challenging degree that aims to provide the student with a wide range of skills demanded by prospective employers. Successful graduates attain economic, quantitative and communication skills that are highly sought by employers in the public and private sectors.

This programme provides rigorous graduate level training in Finance to a standard appropriate to a professional practitioner.
The programme is designed to help the student become a problem solver and therefore enhance their flexibility in the job market. It is a stimulating and challenging degree that equips successful graduates with economic, financial, quantitative and communication skills that are highly sought by employers in the public and private sectors.
This degree is part of the Maynooth University Affiliation Program of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.
From September 2018, there will be a change of title and the programme will be offered as a Master of Science (MSc) degree.
Students take two optional modules - at least one option must be a finance (FN) module.

This is a two-year full-time taught course. It is aimed at students who have a primary degree with a significant Mathematical content (such as Mathematical Studies graduates), but who do not hold an Honours Degree in Mathematics. The MA course is equivalent to taking a Higher Diploma in Mathematics followed by the MSc by examination. A mark of 50% is required to proceed to second year. Candidates who fail to reach the mark of 50% may be awarded a Higher Diploma in Mathematics, subject to a threshold of 40%.
