Required module
A required module is a module in a subject which must be passed without compensation in order to progress in that subject.

International module
An international module is a module available to short term, visiting international students registered with Maynooth University for either one semester or one academic year but who are not taking the full degree programme of study with Maynooth University.

Notes:

• This programme is only available to Maynooth University students who have successfully completed years 1-3 inclusive of the MH304 (ENG) programme.
• Students who intend continuing to the five year integrated ME programme should register for this ENGW qualification at the beginning of Year 4.
• Students who successfully complete ENGW then register for programme MEBF1 (ME Electronic Engineering, 5 Year programme) at the beginning of the next academic year.
