Note: Progression thresholds to Primary Teaching Degrees in Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education and Bachelor of Arts (MH101)
(i) The progression threshold to the Bachelor of Education (MH001)/Professional Masters in Education: Primary Teaching is 60% overall, and a minimum of 50% grade in the Cumas na Gaeilge Module (LC009).
(ii) Alternative progression pathways are also available on to the Bachelor of Arts (MH101) and the Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Teaching and Learning (MH003). The progression threshold to the Bachelor of Arts (MH101) and to the Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Teaching and Learning (MH003, full time) is 60% grade overall, or 55%+ and an interview which is undertaken by the MU Admissions Office.
(iii) Students may also be eligible into entry of the second year of the flexible degree, Bachelor of Arts in Early Childcare Teaching and Learning (MH004) IF they already progress a Level 6 major award in Early Childhood Education OR, complete, after the foundation certificate, first year of the full-time, Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Teaching and Learning (MH003). As with all pathways, such progression is dependent on students achieving 60% grade overall, or 55%+ and an interview which is undertaken by the MU Admissions Office.
