	Required module A required module is a module in a subject which must be passed without compensation in order to progress in that subject. International module An international module is a module available to short term, visiting international students registered with Maynooth University for either one semester or one academic year but who are not taking the full degree programme of study with Maynooth University. Commencing September 2023 Click Year 1 below for details of indicative first year content Indicative content for Years 2 and 3 Year 2 Students take 40 credits Business, 20 credits Sport Science Sport Science modules: Coaching and Exercise Science 2 Applied Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiology Physiological Measurements � Capture and Analysis Sport Injuries Year 3 Students take 40 credits Business, 20 credits Sport Science Sport Science modules: Coaching and Exercise Science 3 Exercise for Health Nutrition for Health and Performance Sports � Social Impact, Inclusion and Participation Students have the option, subject to availability, to do a full year work placement, or study abroad. Those students taking that option will be required to undergo Garda National Vetting as they may be working with children or vulnerable adults. If taking this option, students convert to a four year BBA degree. They then return to Maynooth University for a final year and complete the Year 3 modules above.
