On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:

Articulate their own values, philosophy and goals in relation to Teaching & Learning and their current role in Higher Education.

Map their past, current and intended professional development activities to the National Framework for Professional Development in Teaching and Learning.

Identify core theory, policy and readings that influence current practice in teaching, learning and assessment in higher education and apply them in practice, where relevant.

Write critically and reflectively on their own practice and continuous professional development.

Design teaching sessions in line with good practice in curriculum development, recognised models and quality assurance requirements.

Critically review their own and their peers' teaching skills through a peer teaching observation process as a PD activity.

Plan, test and review contemporary approaches in teaching, assessment and feedback in relation to core themes such as equality and diversity.

Incorporate principles and approaches to using digital technologies to enhance and support learning in their own practice.
