In Year 2 the Social Work Methods and Issues module continues its focus on social work skills and group work practice. It also introduces a focus on social work advocacy and human rights practice.
Content includes the following components:
- Social work and mental health
- Health-related social work (advanced)
- Community work (part 2)
- Probation services and the criminal justice system (advanced)
- Social work & disabilities
- Group work (part 2)
- Direct work with children
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Social work methods & skills (advanced)
- Specialist Workshops, for example: applying legal knowledge to practice, e.g. : preparation of court reports
