“Active citizenship” as an element of the politics course is a practical as well as a theoretical issue. This module offers students a key experiential learning opportunity to learn and practice the skills of active citizenship in a real-life environment, as well as to develop research skills ethnography, participant observation, qualitative field work as well as case study methods. In this module, students reflect on their theoretical tool kit, learn new research skills and engage in a experiential learning group exercise which enables them to reflect through regular workshops and maintenance of a learning journal.
