Students present a 20-minute paper (followed by c.10 minutes of Q&A) at the Department's annual Postgraduate Research Symposium at the end of Semester 2. The focus of the paper should be the work completed in the academic year in which the symposium takes place. The precise format of the paper is to be agreed with the supervisor in accordance with the mode of research being undertaken. In preparation, students are also strongly encouraged to attend the regular research seminar series taking place throughout the academic year, featuring local and international guest speakers across a broad range of research areas.
