	Overview
	This module is concerned with exploiting computer resources for potential use in live contexts. It has a particular focus on Supercollider software, which is taught partly from the perspective of providing participants with a transferable skills, i.e. a background in object-oriented programming. Participants learn about the Supercollider language in the first part of the course � later lectures are devoted to ways of interacting with the software. The module is delivered through lectures and labs.

	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: create environments for live-signal processing. create environments for synthesis/ control of instruments. solve problems relating to the use of object-oriented programming. formulate ideas for the construction of virtual instruments.
