	Overview
	This module will focus on computer programming in general. It will introduce the different operating systems and programming environments used in the lab. The module will provide a thorough study of the C programming language and its potential uses in music application development

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: write generic programs using the C programming language. apply programming techniques to simple musical tasks. manipulate soundfiles programmatically. write basic audio manipulation software.
