• On completion of the module, the student should be able to cantor in a technically and musically effective manner.
• On completion of the module the student should be able to communicate in an effective manner with the liturgical assembly.
• At the end of the module the student should be able to assess a variety of liturgical situations with respect to selection and presentation of material.
• On completion of the module the student should be able to draw on a broad range of good-quality material.

• Group tutorial incorporating individual tuition (12 hours)

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Assessment is by means of (a) an end-of-course practical examination (70%) and (b) continuous assessment of the student by the course tutor (30%). This assessment will be based on course performance and attendance. Minimum Attendance Requirement: 66% (two-thirds of module sessions)

• Pass standard: 40%
• Could the result of this module be capped? No

• Are supplemental/resit registrations permitted? Yes
• Should a candidate fail the overall course in First Year, a repeat practical examination is possible in this discipline. Candidates should note, however, that the continuous assessment mark will remain unchanged.
• Is Supplemental Continuous Assessment registration permitted? No
• Is Supplemental Continuous Assessment capped? No
