Module Objective:
To introduce the students to programming.

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of programming for mathematical applications. The topics covered are: basic data types, variables and constants, arithmetic operators. Decision making and looping. Functions and recursion. Arrays and pointers. Searching and sorting. Applications will be chosen from areas such as matrix calculations, operations research and statistics.
