• Use a wide range of advanced typesetting capabilities in LaTeX, including cross-referencing, figures, tables and different equation environments
• Create and use a bibliography using BibTeX
• Use LaTeX-based packages to create slide or poster presentations
• Use graphics packages to visualise and present scientific data

• Reading material on how to typeset mathematics in any or all of TeX, LaTeX, or related packages. In-class practice. Typesetting documents related to this material.

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Ungraded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): 50% for short written report on a research topic using one of the relevant packages. 50% for a slide presentation or poster including graphics generated by the student.
