	The idea of measurement - SI units. Axes and Cartesian coordinates. Displacement time graphs. Differential calculus - the derivative. Velocity and acceleration. Motion with constant acceleration. Vectors. Projectile motion. Energy and momentum.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: differentiate functions of one variable solve problems involving constant acceleration in one or more dimensions perform basic vector arithmetic produce graphs of functions of one variable and determine extrema and limits of the functions
