On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:

Summarise in broad terms their individual doctoral research project and explain how it relates to existing research in the field;

Develop research questions and identify suitable research methods to answer those questions;

Plan, research and deliver a presentation on a particular aspect of their individual doctoral research project, using appropriate visual aids to engage listeners;

Listen to and offer feedback on other students’ research presentations;

Describe problems that arise in the research process and come up with solutions to those problems.
