This module introduces students to key methods for systematically analyzing media texts, cultures, and practices. Students will explore the parameters of common methods for researching media and culture. They will also be introduced to key debates and developments in the Media and Cultural Studies field and how these generate the methodological principles that govern different media research methods. In seminars, students will also work in groups to develop their practical experience with and critical appraisal of a variety of research methods.
