The placement module allows students to work part-time with an organisation to gain concrete experience of the realities of international and national law and/or criminology, as well as to develop their professional skills and experience of the workplace. Organisations providing placements are usually national NGOs or public authorities, and may vary each year. Students are supervised in their work by an individual within their placement organisation, as well as by an academic staff member from the School of Law and Criminology. Places on this module are limited, and are allocated on the basis of application and interview.
