Welfare Law examines the relationship between law and the welfare state and, in particular, the impact of government policies and changes in the law on those living in poverty. It explores the concept of socio-economic rights and provides insight into the legal and ethical obligations of the state and the citizen. In particular, it will examine issues like race, gender, immigration status, and how these interact with welfare policies and poverty.
