	Overview
	This module broadly addresses commercial law. In particular, it concerns transactions for the sale and transfer of goods and the supply of credit entered into by commercial and business entities. Building on Contract Law I and II, this module addresses the legal principles relating to the ownership, possession, transfer, and sale of personal property (particularly goods), and the supply of services. The module also addresses the law relating to methods of payment, security and finance and insurance contracts and the law of agency. The module may also address aspects of the international sale of goods and the carriage of goods by sea. Any aspect of this module may be changed in any given academic year, subject to the discretion of the module lecturer.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Critically analyse the law as it applies to commercial transactions involving goods and services, particularly the ownership, transfer, possession, and sale of goods, and the supply of services. Outline and critique the rights accorded and duties imposed on parties in commercial transactions involving the sale of goods and supply of services and critically assess the framework for international sale of goods. Analyse and evaluate the law as it relates to payment, security and finance, the principles of insurance law and the law of agency. Recognise legal issues in a hypothetical fact scenario, and apply legal principles and precedents to such a scenario, with a view to explaining a likely legal outcome or solution.
