Overview Overview

This module builds on EU Law&Policy I – Constitutional and Institutional Law. Its focus is on the substantive law and policies of the EU. The module will commence by analysing the development of the EU internal market and its ‘four freedoms’, and will then concentrate on how the CJEU has developed the law on the free movement of goods, persons and services, as well as how it has developed the concept of EU citizenship. The module will then look briefly at two important fields of EU substantive law, competition law and state aid law, the rules of which help to protect the integrity of the single market.
