This module provides students with knowledge and understanding of the operation of the rules of contract law. The module is fundamentally concerned with the principles of agreement, consideration and the intention to create legal relations. Specifically, the module distinguishes contractually enforceable promises from other promises, identifies all the elements of a contract, the formalities, distinctions between express terms and implied terms, and some features of consumer contracts.
Any aspect of this module may be changed in any given academic year, subject to the discretion of the module lecturer.
