	Overview
	Research typically involves the use of large amounts of biographical data. This data is usually unstructured i.e. partial, fragmented and inconsistent. In order to process, use and interrogate this data consistently and accurately, participants in this module master a set of digital and historical concepts; they learn digital skills; they put them into practice on their own data. With their data in a standardized format participants are empowered to explore their data, articulate new research questions and publish their research output.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: be familiar with the basic concepts of digital historical biography identify and model historical and other data use the necessary digital skills to build databases and to use digital tools to ingest their data into digital platforms query, curate and publish their data
