Courses / Module

• Undertake a critical analysis of how their placement organisation works, of its structure and of group and team work within the organisation
• Demonstrate in their essay (written in German) how an improvement in the skills of working with colleagues and under supervision, leading and initiating activities have been achieved
• Identify what knowledge and further competences (academic, linguistic, cultural, personal, professional) he/she has developed on work placement
• Discuss how the academic, linguistic, cultural, personal, professional knowledge and competences developed during the placement can be transferred to their studies

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Ungraded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Upon completing the work placement, students are required to submit documentary evidence of the placement (i.e. employment contract, accommodation lease agreement, registration with local authorities, where appropriate), and a written reference from their employer appraising their employment in the firm. Additionally, students would be required to submit a 2,000-word essay in German reflecting on their placement experience in terms of firm in which they were employed and their personal, professional, linguistic, cultural and academic development in relation to their studies and future career/study plans.
