	Overview
	Drawing from key theoretical contributors, the experience and insights of participants, and examples from practice, this module explores the relationship between education and social movements with an emphasis on the concept of praxis.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Understand the concept of critical pedagogy and consciousness-raising education. Understand the principles of groupwork in adult education contexts. Appreciate the role of engaged critical research. Explore a history of education within feminism, trade unionism, community education and other spaces of resistance.
