This module further develops students' understanding of the principles, aims and key methodologies of national curricula in relation to the middle and senior primary classes. A range of key teaching skills and methodologies will be applied in Visual Arts, Music, Drama, PE SESE and SPHE. Students will also engage with subject-specific curricular planning and integrated approaches all class levels. Assessment principles and practices will be critically considered.

Through reflection on their own teaching and learning experiences, students will be invited to think critically about the characteristics, organisation and management of an inclusive, Froebelian, enquiry-based, environment encompassing all primary years.

This module explores the methodology of ICT to support teaching and learning. Digital learning will be a focus of the module. This will enable students to apply the skills learnt to develop their use of technology across various curricular areas and in integrated project work on extended placement in Year 2. Assistive Technology and online resources for learning support will be introduced prior to School Placement.

The module will emphasise the following:

- ICT as a pedagogical tool
