Through an engagement with Development and Intercultural Education (DICE), the contribution of education to global justice is examined. Issues such as poverty, social justice, fair trade, activism, culture, human rights and anti-racism will be explored theoretically and experientially as a model for classroom practice. Students will be invited to examine their own reflexivity and positionality through a focus on concepts such as ethnocentrism and white privilege.
A range of data collection and analysis tools will be introduced and modeled, within a framework of action research as a living educational theory
