• Implement early professional agency and creativity by designing a series of lesson plans for School Placement.
• Show an awareness of and a positive regard towards inclusive education by extending their knowledge of the variety of R.E. syllabuses currently in use in primary schools in Ireland and by delivering a series of lessons based on one of these programmes.
• Demonstrate positive initial understanding of the professional identity of the teacher in providing for the holistic development of children, particularly through the nurturing of their spiritual and religious dimensions.
• Begin the process of reflective practice as a teacher by applying their skills of reviewing and evaluating the lessons they will have taught.
• Evince knowledge and appreciation of global citizenship and of religion as a global phenomenon by preparing and presenting a seminar paper based on one specific world religion or Weltanschauung.
• Refine their digital skills by including a digital presentation to accompany their paper.
