• Articulate a familiarity with current theory on fundamental issues of Group Leadership;
• Demonstrate good understanding of group membership and how groups function;
• Recognise the professional and ethical issues in Group Counselling, Guidance and group work, and have developed their own individual professional policy for groups in the school context;
• Reflect on oneself in a group context and have developed awareness and skills from this experience;
• Initiate, lead and bring closure to groups with reasonable competence;
• Evaluate group outcomes and one's own role as leader in the group process.

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Written personal reflection on group processes (50%); Critique of group theory from perspective of practice (50%).

• Pass standard: 40%
• Could the result of this module be capped? No
• Penalties: Late submission of assignment will incur a 5% reduction in grade.
