• Upon successfull completion of the module the student will have a good knowledge of the foundations of advanced macroeconomic theory.
• Explain how advanced macroeconomics uses underlying microeconomic behaviour to generate dynamic macroeconomics models.
• Explain how optimal monetary policy depends on the assumed microeconomic environment. Derive and examine the Neoclassical Growth model.
• Solve simple expectational difference equations. Examine the solvency of government budget deficit.
