This module aims to provide fourth-year undergraduate students with a comprehensive understanding of global food security and sustainability issues. Students will examine the challenges and opportunities for achieving sustainable food systems that meet the needs of a growing global population while protecting the environment. The module will explore topics such as the impact of climate change on food production, food waste and loss, food distribution and access, sustainable agriculture, and the role of technology in addressing food security.
Module Content:

This module will be assessed with a formal class debate (10%) and associated short written assignment (10%) and written assessment (80%).
