• This module will consist of 22 hours of seminars – 2 hours per week during the first semester. This module will adopt a blended learning approach and will include lectures, group discussions, project (including group project) work, and hands-on experimentation with digital humanities tools and methods.

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Students will be required to submit a final essay exploring a theoretical aspect discussed in the module. Students will also be responsible for establishing a personal blog and posting two entries during the course of the semester based on module content. An individual or group project will also be assigned.
• Other detail(s): Learners will be expected to complete a 5,000 word project plan that will correspond to their DH600 project and dissertation.

• Pass standard: 40%
• Could the result of this module be capped? No
• Overall 40% to pass; continual assessment component must be passed i.e. at least 20% out of 50%.
• Penalties: Marks for late essays reduced by 5% per day for the first five days and minus 25% for each week or part thereof for up to four weeks (i.e. 0 for essay if more than four weeks late) unless there are extenuating circumstances. Full attendance and participation at seminars is expected. Non-attendance without a valid reason will result in a 5% deduction from the module mark for each seminar missed.
