	Overview
	This module will provide an overview of research philosophies, methods and processes which will support students to develop their research. This module will present the theoretical underpinnings of mainstream quantitative and qualitative research methodologies within their historical and epistemological contexts.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: be familiar with a range of appropriate social science research philosophies, methods and processes. have enhanced capacity of applying these when undertaking new research and appraising existing research.
