Aim: This module is designed to enhance learning from semester one developing deeper critical reflection about the equality implications of education. 1. Develop a deeper understanding of the social, egalitarian and political context of Irish education. 2. Critique how theories of social justice and quality add to our understanding of education. 3. Enhance capacity for critical reflection about the social justice implications of education. 4. Give learners the opportunity to develop and appraise differing interpretations of equality in education.
