On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:

• Evaluate functions and determine its natural domain. Graphing and transforming basic functions.
• Evaluate limits graphically and algebraically. Differentiate polynomial, trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions.
• Use the product rule, quotient rule and chain rule. Determine the intervals of increase and decrease and sketch curves.
• Find tangent lines to circles. Solve real world problems involving permutations and combinations. Solve basic probability problems.
• Solve problems involving sequences and series with an emphasis on arithmetic and geometric progressions.
• Calculate the mean, median and mode for a data set. Visualise real world data by utilising bar charts, pie charts and histograms.
