The purpose of this module is to update Social Workers regarding the theories that inform professional social work practice. Students are expected to critically engage with areas such as: conceptions of social justice, equality and rights; theoretical approaches and perspectives in social work; and social work as a ‘social profession’. A component of this module addresses the application of theory into professional practice. |
